Dr. Esma Çukurbaşı Çalışır received her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Education and Instructional Technology from Ege University. She has been working in the field of educational technology since 2012, with professional experience as an ICT teacher and Educational Technologies Coordinator. She currently serves as a Lecturer at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University.
Her research interests include technology integration, instructional design, distance education, information ethics, virtual reality, immersive technologies, presence, and technology-enhanced learning. Her recent research particularly focuses on immersive learning environments and the relationships between presence, immersion, and learner performance. She also provides training for students and educators in the areas of educational technologies and digital learning.
